Hello, I'm The Vintage Bookbinder.
Hello :) I'm a bookbinder, artist and maker based in South Oxfordshire Ever since I was old enough to wield a pair of scissors and was given some paper, a pile of old Argos catalogues and some glue, I have loved making things. At the age of eight, my aunt gave me a set of oil paints and my love of painting was born. A few years later another aunt inspired my love of sewing and fabric. When I left school, I embarked on a career in learning and development but over the years I have always made time to create; making my own clothes, curtains, soft furnishings and dolls, and painting when I could. Over this time I was also building quite a stash of vintage fabric and had a secret plan to give this a second life by making and selling things. I escaped the corporate world in 2024, I now have lots of time to be creative. I live in South Oxfordshire with Gavin, my artist/childrens author husband and our two cats, Hebe and Iris where I spend my days sewing, painting and making handmade books in our studio at home.
